Backend Developer Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled backend developer who will demonstrate sound technical skills, has rich experience with Golang, and develop into the existing code base. We are looking for an engineer who is eager to learn and dive into a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with other developers to produce scalable solutions using back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. We are seeking someone who is a critical thinker and has an understanding of how financial markets function. You will have the opportunity to:

• Become deeply integrated into the development and execution of backend development technology projects
• Learn the intricacies of the company’s technical infrastructure, and proprietary processes
• Build innovative products using the latest technologies and take ownership in your work here at FinTron

The engineer will report directly to the CTO and collaborate closely with the existing dev team. The dev should be well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of languages and databases as outlined below.

Must-Have:

• Atleast 2 years experience in Golang
• Python
• PostgreSQL
• Protocol Buffers
• Kafka

Good to Have:

• Django Framework
• Pytest and other testing frameworks
• JavaScript
• React JS Framework
• React Native
• AWS (VPC, EC2, RDS, S3, Glacier, CloudTrail, Route 53)
• Jenkins
• Nomad
• Github Actions
• Redux middleware

Qualification

• Proven 5+ years of industry experience in backend development
• Experience with end to end full-stack mobile, web, and QA testing
• Strong command of SQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Manage time efficiently and is highly collaborative
• Ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure
• Preferred: BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus
